Butyl Rubber Tapes are used primarily in the building construction industry to provide waterproof sealing of Seams, Window and Door Sashes, on Roofing and Flashing applications and as a Pipe Wrap. Butyl Rubber Tapes are also used to Rain Screen existing structures from water penetration. Tapes in this category have either an aluminium foil backing or a tough polyethylene backing and are coated with butyl rubber ranging in thickness from 20 to 60 mils.
